Buildings are a combination of spaces. Scapes evoke feelings, emotions and memories. Creating spaces that are integral to the building's fabric whilst encouraging movement in, around and through individual spaces, to create a lasting impression is a challenge for an interior designer. The Interior design Programme is about creating beyond decoration which combines practicality, sustainability and beauty to achieve the specific aims of a project. Interior design is an exciting, growing field where creative individuals with an eye for detail can influence human interaction and improve quality of life in the built environment
The 2 year M.B.A “Interior Design” course is developed and recognized by the Govt.University approved by UGC, AIU&DEB Under Minister of HRD Govt of India.
The First Module The level one of the MBA Interior Design management aims to impart the practical & theoretical subjects in management process and behavior, managerial, economics, accounting for Business, Financial management, quantitative techniques in management, business law, managerial communication, Computer applications in management. The course helps the students to develop the skills of the business management level required in running the apparel business. The exposure to the industry, seminars, guest lecture helps the students to attain different exposure at NIIFT.
The Second Module The level two of the MBA course provides the technical skills in human resource management, Research Methods, Business Environment, Marketing Management, Operations Management project work .Market study, industry internship training will be part of the level two for the MBA programmed.
The Third Module Follows the innovation and understanding of new creation to enhance their professional ability with modules like principles of interior design and management, Advance Construction in interior, study of climatology in interior design, Design studio and Building Systems Technology, Drawing and painting for interior design with Practical and Survey Project & appreciation with portfolio development.
The Fourth Module Aims to develop the all round knowledge of the student in the Building Material industry by covering the basic knowledge in Production Engineering and Study in Interior Design Applied art, Interior Design Furnishing, CAD/CAM and Practical projects& Portfolio development in advance level The level two includes the industry internship of 6-8 weeks in which student gets practical experience in Stars Hotel & Hospital, Club house and any Commercial building (Project)
The students undergo the compulsory 1 month Architecture firm internship to nourish themselves with the industrial working conditions. And Industrial visits are also planned to give the first feel of the cement, brick, furniture and lighting industry to the students.
